There is something lovely about the hills of Tuscany. They are particularly pronounced in Chianti, forested and there is often a house at the highest point. Because of the trees, however, the houses are not always recognizable at first glance. One morning, when I stepped out of the chapel in Vitigliano after a long night of shooting (and, incidentally, unexpectedly startled a couple), this group of houses was bathed in the most beautiful morning light, framed by cypress trees.
